12 Hour Comic Day

Outlet Comics is proud to partner with Anyone Comics (of Brooklyn fame) to bring their annual comic making event to you digitally this year!

What is usually an event for New Yorkers who don’t get to participate in October’s 24-Hour Comics Day due to New York Comic Con happening simultaneously, will now be 12 Hour “Half Marathon” of comic creation held on Discord. That’s 12 hours to make a 12 page comic!

The Outlet Comics Discord server will be set up with exclusive video channels where artists can chat and share work with one another as they create their comics. The goal is to have each artist create a 12 page comic in just 12 hours! If you simply wish to spectate, you will be able to watch these artists go to work and participate in any of the other channels we have set up.

Join in early at 11:30 am EST to talk with creators, Eric Green, Dimitrios Fragiskatos, Joe Crohn, and John Jennison. We will start drawing at noon EST Saturday, February 27th and end at 12am EST Sunday, February 28th!

This is a great chance to hangout in a creative space and meet new artists or catch up with folks you haven’t seen in a while. Let’s make comics and continue to beat 2021 into submission with our art!

To register :

  • First join the Outlet Comics Discord server here. You can join on the web or by downloading the app. If you do not have a Discord account, you will be prompted to sign up.

This is a free event and open to any artist 17 years and older. Please respect other artists and use your best judgment when showing your creations and participating in discussions. Please take a minute to familiarize yourself with our rules and channels descriptions posted in Discord server prior to the event.
